Biography

Ondřej Pukl was a middle-distance runner who represented Sparta Praha. Pukl ran in the 800 metres and the 1,500 metres at the 1900 Paris Olympics, but failed to finish in both races. Despite this he was a great athletics promoter who shared his interest and enthusiasm amongst students. In 1904 Pukl moved to Přerov where he worked as a chemist.
