Biography
Carlos dos Reis Filho competed in the 400 hurdles at a time when it was not popular in Brazil. He was third at the 1924 Rio de Janeiro Championship, and then won the title for the next six years. He was national champion in 1928 and 1929, and placed second in the 1931 South American Championships. He was later surpassed in the event in Brazil by Sylvio Padilha. Dos Reis Filho also won one national title in the flat 400 metres.
