Biography

Antônio Giusfredi was a Brazilian track and field athlete who had his best results in the discus throw. Giusfredi ran in the 110 metres hurdles at the 1932 Los Angeles Olympics where he finished fifth in his heat. He was also scheduled to compete in the discus in Los Angeles but did not start the event. The 1937 South American Championships in Athletics were held in Giusfredi’s hometown of São Paulo, with him winning gold in the discus and setting a championship record in the process. Two years later he won bronze in the discus when the championships were held in Lima, Peru.
