Biography

Chilean hammer thrower Ricardo Bayer had his best success at the South American Championships. At the 1926 edition Bayer won bronze with a throw of 43.77 metres. He went on to win bronze at three further editions of the championships with medals in 1927, 1929, and 1935. Bayer competed in the hammer at the 1928 Amsterdam Olympics where he finished in eighth place in the qualification round with a throw of 46.34 metres.

Personal Best: HT – 51.69 (1929).
