Biography

Gaston Malam was a Cameroonian track and field athlete who competed as a sprinter. Malam ran in both the 100 and 200 metres at the München Olympics but did not advance from the heats in either race. He also had the honour of being the flagbearer for Cameroon at the Opening Ceremony of the München Games. After the Olympics he won several 100 metres titles in Africa, including in Kinshasa in 1973, and in Yaoundé in 1974.

Personal Bests: 100 – 10.2 (1973); 200 – 21.3 (1974).
