Biography

Harald Agger was a prolific Danish sportsman who won multiple national titles and set three Danish records. Agger won eight Danish titles during his career with three in the shot put (1909, 1911, 1925), two in the high jump (1908, 1911), two in the discus throw (1908, 1909), and one in the pole vault (1909). In 1908 he improved on the Danish discus throw record twice and the following year set a national record in the shot put.

Agger was selected to represent Denmark at the 1908 London Olympics. He was scheduled to compete in the discus throw and the Greek discus throw but he did not start either event. He did compete in the hammer throw but did not advance from his heat. In 1920 Agger founded the AK-Holstebro athletics club in Holstebro. In 1939 he received a badge of honor from the Danish athletics federation.
