Biography

Leo Rosschou was a Danish racewalker, long-distance runner, and artist. During his career Rosschou won 14 national championships and set 19 Danish records. He competed in the 10,000 metres track walk at the 1954 European Athletics Championships but finished in a disappointing 14th place. Four years later he competed in the 20 kilometres race walk at the 1960 Roma Olympics, finishing 25th. During the race he suffered from heat stroke, which resulted in him being hospitalised for three days.

He later took up orienteering where he designed the logo for the club’s jersey.
