Estonian sportsman Koit Annamaa competed in weightlifting, skiing, and athletics, specialising in the hammer throw in the latter. From 1934 to 1938 Annamaa won five consecutive Estonian titles in the event, in addition to improving the national record on eight occasions. At the 1934 European Championships he finished seventh before finishing eighth at the 1936 Berlin Olympics. Outside of athletics he worked in the police until 1940 and became an engineer after World War II. Annamaa also published articles about hammer throwing for the sports-themed newspaper Eesti Spordileht.
