Biography

Nestori Järvelä was a Finnish middle-distance runner who represented Viipurin Urheilijat in Helsinki. Järvelä specialised in the steeplechase and was selected to compete for Finland at the 1924 Paris Olympics. He finished in fourth place in his heat in Paris but only the top-three athletes in each heat advanced to the final.
