Track and field athlete Hélène Bons specialised in the high jump with her representing France at four international meets. In 1926 Bons was the national champion in the event, setting a French record of 1.50 metres, and won gold at the Women’s World Games in Göteborg. Two years later she competed at the 1928 Amsterdam Olympics, finishing 11th with a best clearance of 1.45 metres in the final. Bons equalled the French record twice in 1928 with her winning her second and final national high jump title in 1929.
