Anne-Marie Colchen won the 1946 European Championships in the high jump, and won a silver at that meet in the 4×100 relay. At the 1950 European Championships Colchen finished sixth in the high jump. She was also a top basketball player, playing 63 international matches and was part of the team that won the bronze medal at the 1953 World Championships.
