Pierre Alard was a discus thrower who competed at the 1956 and 1960 Olympic Games. Alard also threw the discus at the 1958 and 1962 European Championships. He set eight French records with the discus from 52.25 in 1959 to 56.26 in 1969. Alard was an 11-time French Champion, winning the discus in 1956, 1959-65, and 1967-69.
