Renon Boussiére ran the marathon at the 1912 Stockholm Olympics, finishing 13th. He had won the 1903 Normandy Marathon (over 36 km). Boussiére served as a second lieutenant with the 403e Régiment d’Infanterie during World War I. In September 1915, during the battle of the Ville-sur-Tourbe in Marne, France, Boussiére went missing in action. His body was never recovered.
