Émile Champion ran the marathon at the 1900 Paris Olympics but little else is known about his athletic career. He competed for Racing Club de France. Champion served in the 150th Régiment d’Infanterie in the town of St. Mihiel, in the Meuse. He later became a commercial employee in Trouville. He is not known to be related to Francis Champion, a well-known professional runner of the era.
