Biography

Patrick Journoud started in sports in the Midi-Pyrenees league, and set five French junior records with the discus, bringing it to 56.26. He won a bronze medal at the 1983 European Junior Championships. His senior career was based in Provence, where he earned 24 caps and competed at both the 1987 World Championships and 1988 Olympics. He improved the French senior record to 63.02 and won the French national title in 1988-90.

Personal Best: DT – 63.02 (1988).
