Biography

Alexandre Tuffèri, also spelled Tuffère, was a French athlete, but he was born in and lived in Greece. He set several Greek national records, and his 1906 Intercalated Olympic participation is generally credited to Greece. Placing second in the first modern Olympic competition ever, the 1896 triple jump, he was France’s first Olympic medallist.
