Eric Hussey was awarded the Oxford blue (1905-08) and won the 120y hurdles vs. Cambridge in 1906. At the AAA Championships he finished third in the hurdles in 1906. He also played soccer (football) for his University on a number of occasions but did not win a blue. He entered the Sudan Civil Service in 1908 as a tutor at Gordon College, Khartoum, and over the next 30 years held a number of educational appointments in various parts of Africa. He was awarded the CMG in 1933.
