Tim Kellaway placed sixth in the 1912 Poly marathon, which also served as the Olympic Trials, but in Stockholm he failed to finish. Kellaway’s ninth place finish helped Herne Hill win the 1914 Southern Counties cross-country title. A week later he competed in the national cross-country championship but was placed 43rd, seven and a half minutes behind the winner. After World War I Kellaway continued cross-country running and in 1919 took part in Herne Hill Harriers annual match against Oxford University.
