Lance Percival won his blue in the 220y hurdles in 1928 and was rather fortunate to make the Olympic team that year. He only qualified for the semi-finals of the 1928 AAA 440y hurdles as on one of the two fastest losers from the four heats and the his advancement to the final was almost certainly due to the withdrawal of the Australian, Alf Watson, from the semi-finals. At the Olympic Games he finished third and last in his heat.
Personal Bests: 400H – 58.0e (1928).
