Claudia Lokar was a German middle- and long-distance runner who was eliminated in the heats of the 5,000 metres at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. She was German champion over 3,000 in 1989 and1992-93. She also won the cross-country long distance runs from 1994-96, and the marathon in 1996. In 1994 she was second at the Hamburg Marathon and fifth in the New York Marathon, then finishing sixth the following year.
In 1996, Lokar set her personal best at the Berlin Marathon with 2:28:17. She was married to her long-time coach Wolfgang Lokar. Later, she participated in several senior masters competitions. By profession, she became a special education teacher.
