Fabián Cancelarich was an Argentine football goalkeeper who played more than 200 matches for Ferro Carril Oeste. Cancelarich began his career with the club in 1986 before joining Belgrano de Córdoba in 1992. He then played for multiple teams during the 1990s, before returning to Ferro Carril Oeste in 1999 for one more season. From 1988 to 1993 he was called up to the national side on more than 30 occasions; however, as he was the team’s reserve keeper he never won an international cap. As a result Cancelarich sat on the bench for Argentina’s win in the 1991 Copa América and their 1–0 loss to West Germany in the final of the 1990 FIFA World Cup. He was also a reserve for the football tournaments at the 1987 Pan American Games and the 1988 Seoul Olympics.
