Biography

Gertrud Kille finished fifth in the shot with a put of with 13.84 m at the 1952 Helsinki Olympic Games. She won four West German shot put championships in 1947-48 and 1951-52 and another in the pentathlon in 1947. Straight after the Helsinki Games she retired and helped her husband in his motor car dealership in Hamburg.

Personal Best: SP – 14.61 (1952).
