Hamadein El-Zamek had a 21-year career with his hometown Al Masry SC of Port Said, between 1933 and 1954. During that time, he won the Sultan Hussein Cup three times, in 1934, 1937, and 1937. He made numerous appearances with the Egyptian national team during the 1940s and was selected to represent his country at the 1948 London Olympics, although he never got a chance to play in the Games because Egypt was eliminated after losing to Denmark 3-1 in its first match. The year after his retirement, he was elected to the board of directors for Al Masry SC and served in several other administrative and coaching capacities for the club. He also served briefly as a referee.
