Petra Wassiluk

Petra Wassiluk was a German long-distance runner who participated in the 1996 Atlanta and 2000 Sydney Olympics. She was eliminated in the heats on both occasions over 5,000 and 10,000 metres respectively. At the German nationals she won the short course cross-country title in 1995, the 5,000 metres title in 1996, the 10,000 metres in 2000, and was winner of the half-marathon in 2001. She was also active in several city marathons and other important runs. In 1997, she won the Las Vegas Half Marathon.

In 1997, Wassiluk won the German nationals over 10,000 metres but had an unpermitted high caffeine rate in her doping test, and was banned for three months. Wassiluk later became a long-distance running coach, and co-organiser of the Frankfurt Marathon.
