Biography
Alexander Abraham never won a German Championship but was a versatile track and field athlete, who retired from competition in mid-1912 at the Olympic Games due to an injury, and then became a sports teacher and lecturer at the Deutscher Sportbund für Athletik (DSBfA). In his job he prepared German athletes for the 1916 Olympic Games alongside Al Kraenzlein, which did not take place due to World War I.
From 1928-36 he was Chief National Coach for track an field athletics and skiing in Turkey. He also wrote two textbooks Sportliche Gymnastik (Sporting Gymnastics) and Weg zur sportlichen Höchstleistung (Ways to Sports Records).
