Biography

Race walker Herbert Dill placed sixteenth at the 1936 Berlin Olympics. He won the silver medal at the 1938 European Championships in the 50 km Walk, and was also German Champion that year in the same event. In 1942 he committed suicide by gas poisoning.

Personal Best: 50kmW – 4-42:37 (1937).
