Bodo Kuhn, a 400 metre runner, won a bronze medal at the 1988 Seoul Olympics with the 4x400 relay although he only started in the heats, and he was awarded the Silver Bay Leaf the same year for that accomplishment. He never won a West German title. Kuhn later became a physiotherapist in his hometown of Tauberbischofsheim, and from 1994-2002 took care of the German fencing team in Tauberbischofsheim. He eventually opened his own practice as a personal trainer.
