Harry Mehlhose, a middle-distance runner, did not qualify for the 1,500 final at the 1936 Berlin Olympics. From 1936-41 he participated in seven international matches. Domestically he won 1,500 titles in 1938-39, and also relay titles in the 3x1,000 in 1940 and 1942. With his home club Berliner SC was German Team Champion in 1941. By profession, Mehlhose was a dentist in Berlin.
