Pole vaulter Julius Müller finished 9th at the 1928 Amsterdam Olympic Games and 17th at the 1936 Berlin Olympic Games. He participated in 20 international matches. Müller won five German Championships in 1928, 1932, and 1935-37, was runner-up in 1931 and 1934, and was third in 1938. During World War II he was arrested by the Americans and was brought to a POW camp in Ulm, where he worked as a teacher for physically disabled soldiers. Later he was employed as a Clerk for Physical Education by the State Office of Education in Göppingen.
