Biography

Dirk-Achim Pajonk was a German decathlete who finished 20th at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. Two years later he became German champion for the only time. By profession, he was an attending physician to the German decathlon team, and anti-doping commissioner of the German Athletics Association DLV. Pajonk also became an orthopaedic surgeon in his own private practice at Düsseldorf in 2004.
