Biography

Wolfgang Schillkowski competed at the 1964 Tokyo Olympics in the high jump, placing 17th with 2.06. He was even more successful at the European Cups, finishing second both in 1965 and 1967. At the 1966 European Championships Schillkowski placed sixth, winning silver that year at the European Indoors. His greatest moments came at the CISM Military Worlds in 1965 and 1966, winning both gold medals. Nationally, he won three West German titles both indoors and outdoors.

Personal Best: HJ – 2.14 (1965).
