Biography

Long jumper Helmut Schlöske failed to qualify for the final at the 1928 Amsterdam Olympics. He earned his only German national title in 1927 with the sprint relay. He was the brother of sprinter Hermann Schlöske. In the last months of World War II Helmut Schlöske was killed in action near Potsdam in October 1944, and was buried on the war cemetery in Berlin-Charlottenburg.
