Biography

Lóránd Milassin started his sports career with Budapesti Honvéd in 1962. Primarily a high hurdler, he won seven Hungarian titles in the 110-meter hurdles, in 1971-73 and 1975-78, and improved the national record eight times. Milasson competed at the 1972 München Olympics.

After finishing his sports career Milasson worked as a physical education teacher and as a coach for a short time. There were other excellent athletes in his family members: his wife, Anikó Milassin, and his son Ákos were also member of the national team. In recognition of his career, he was selected as an Honorary Champion of Budapest Honvéd.

Personal Best: 110H – 13.7 (1972).
