Biography

Iranian all-round track and field athlete Nadjmeddin Farabi competed in the decathlon, holding the national record in the event for more than a decade. In 1956 Farabi was selected to participate in the event at the Melbourne Olympics, where he placed 12th. His best individual result came in the 1,500 metres, where he came second.
