Karl Vilmundarson was an Icelandic all-round track and field athlete who represented the Glímufélagið Ármann sports club in Reykjavík. Vilmundarson won multiple national titles across several disciplines including the 110 metres hurdles, pole vault, long jump, triple jump, and discus throw. He was selected to take part in the decathlon at the 1936 Berlin Olympics but only completed the first two events before withdrawing.
