Biography

Anna Villani was an Italian marathon runner. Coached by Giovanni Martuscelli, in 1991 she placed 10th at the Marathon World Cup in London and helped Italy to a team silver medal. In 1994 she helped win the team gold in the European Cup at the European Championships. She competed at the 1997 Athens World Championships, placing 27th. From 1985 to 1997 she earned 11 international caps. Domestically, she won four Italian titles in the half-marathon (1985, 1991-93) and the 1989 Maratona d’Italia in Modena.

Personal Best: Mar – 2-31:06 (1991).
