Ettore Blasi was an Italian long-distance runner who specialized in the marathon. His first major competition was the 1920 Antwerpen Olympics, although he did not finish on a miserable day with a heavy, cold rain. Blasi raced the 1921 Polytechnic Marathon in London but also failed to finish. In September 1923 he won the Torino International Marathon in 2-53:50.8. At the 1924 Olympic marathon in Paris, Blasi was among the leaders in the first half of the race but again did not finish. Domestically Blasi won five Italian Championships, four in the half marathon (1919-22), and the 1923 marathon.
Personal Best: Marathon – 2-53:50.8 (1923).
