Carlo Clemente was an Italian javelin thrower in the 1920s. He started very young as a gymnast, but later took up the javelin and was the first Italian over 50 meters with 53.71 at Cagliari on 3 September 1921. He set his personal best three years later at Dusseldorf with 56.95, a few days before he competed at the 1924 Paris Olympics where he was eliminated in qualifying. He won two international caps in 1924-25. Domestically, Clement was a four-time Italian champion (1921-24). He had a short career as he left competition at 22 years of age because he was involved in school examinations.
