Biography

Angelo Ferrario was an Italian track and field athlete who represented Pro Patria Milano. Specialising as a sprinter, Ferrario won three national titles in the 1930s with victory in the 200 metres (1933, 1937) and the 400 metres (1938). At the 1934 European Championships he finished fourth in the 4 × 400 metres relay (with Giacomo Carlini, Ettore Tavernari, and the non-Olympian Mario Rabaglino). Two years later he was part of the Italian quartet for the 4 × 400 metres relay at the 1936 Berlin Olympics but the team did not advance from their heat. At the 1938 European Championships Ferrario finished fifth with the 4×400 metres relay team (with Otello Spampani, Mario Lanzi, and the non-Olympian Gioacchino Dorascenzi).
