Biography

A carabiniere by profession, in 1920 Lussana competed at the 1920 Antwerpen Olympics, his only major competition, but failed to reach the 10,000 metre final. In June 1923 in Bologna he won his only Italian title over the same distance in 32:30.0, his personal best, defeating the non-Olympians Domenico Caprara and Gualtiero Bacchelli. A versatile runner, Lussana competed at distances from 800 metres (in 1919 he set the third best Italian time for the year) to the 10K.

Personal Best: 10000 – 32:30.0 (1923).
