Baldassare Porto was an Italian sprinter best known for running the opening leg for Italy’s 4x400 relay team for years. This brought him silver medals in that event at the 1950 European Championships and the 1955 Mediterranean Games. Porto was Italian Champion in the 400 in 1950. He was capped 14 times for Italy.
