Biography

Vittorio Visini was a racewalker who competed at the 1968, 1972 and 1976 Olympic Games. He was coached by the 1952 Olympic Champion Pino Dordoni. Visini competed at five European Championships, finishing eighth at 50 km in 1966; competing, but not finishing, the 50 km in 1969; placing 15th in the 50 km in 1971; just missing a medal with a fourth-place finish in the 50 km in 1974; and placing sixth in the 1978 50 km. He earned 67 international caps from 1965-81. Nationally he won one title in the 20 km (1970) and seven in the 50 km (1970-75, 1981).

Personal Bests: 20kmW – 1-25:49 (1981); 50kmW – 3-56:04 (1978).
