Iwao Masuda was a Japanese track and field athlete who specialised as a sprinter. Masuda won the 400 metres at the 1932 Japan Athletics Championships in 50 seconds flat, earning him a place on the Japanese Olympic team. At the Los Angeles Games he reached the quarter-finals in the 400 metres in addition to finishing fifth in the final of the 4 × 400 metres relay.
