When she appeared at the 1956 Melbourne Olympics two years later, she was eliminated in round one of the 100 metres, but nonetheless became the first woman to represent Malaya at the Games. She was also entered into the 200 metres, but did not start. Her next stop was the 1958 Asian Games, where she finished sixth in the 100 metres and also competed in the 200 metres. She retired from active competition in 1960 and later tried her hand at motor racing, before running a shoe store.
Personal Best: 100 – 12.5 (1958).
