Biography

Dutch track and field athlete Mien Duchateau represented Te Werve in Rijswijk where she specialised in middle-distance running. In 1928 Duchateau ran in the 800 metres at an international meet in Bruxelles where she came sixth. The race was used to select athletes for the upcoming Amsterdam Olympics, where Duchateau finished fourth in her heat, just missing out on a place in the final.
