Biography

Dutch track and field athlete Lena Michaëlis represented Te Werve sports club in Rijswijk. Michaëlis specialised in the discus throw, becoming the national champion in 1928 and earning herself a place on the Dutch Olympic team. At the 1928 Amsterdam Games she finished eleventh with a best throw of 31.04 metres.
