Biography

Coen van Veenhuijsen was a Dutch track and field athlete who competed in the pole vault in the early 1900s. Van Veenhuijsen was selected to represent the Netherlands in the event at the 1908 London Olympics where he finished 14th. He was also selected to participate in both the high jump and the standing high jump but he did not start in either discipline. In 1911 he set a national record that stood until 1914, with him also becoming the Dutch pole vault champion in 1913.
