Robert Ojo was the top Nigerian sprinter in the later 1960s and early 1970s. He competed at the 1968 and 1972 Olympics and the Commonwealth Games in 1967 and 1971. Ojo was named as Nigerian athlete-of-the-year in 1967 and 1968. He later became a policeman and was superintendent of police prior to his retirement.
