In the 1910s and 1920s Norwegian track and field athlete Einar Mangset represented Oslo IL where he specialised in sprinting. Mangset was an excellent 400 metres competitor and won three consecutive national titles from 1919 to 1921. He ran in the event at the 1920 Antwerpen Olympics but finished fourth in his heat and was eliminated. He was 98 years-old when he died in January 1992.
