Biography

Norwegian track and field athlete Olaf Strand represented TIF Viking in Bergen where he specialised in the 800 metres. Strand ran in the race at the 1928 Amsterdam Olympics where he reached the semi-finals. Two years after the Games he became the national champion in the event. Strand was 98-years-old when he died in February 1997.

Personal Best: 800 – 1:54.8 (1929).
